In a surprising collaboration that breaks traditional predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the official announcement, "An unusual meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of prohibited practices and fearsome changes reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine sect.
The adventure focuses on "bizarre trials and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses
The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an unique katana together with multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
